HHMI Medical Research Fellows Program (Includes Janelia and K-RITH)

Medical, dental, and veterinary students can begin using the system to submit the required application materials on August 24, 2015. The deadline for submission of the online application and all reference letters is 1/11/2016. Application to the program at Janelia Research Campus or K-RITH is a two-step process with an initial portion of the application due by November 2, 2015. Janelia Undergraduate Scholars

Applicants can use the system to submit the required application materials beginning September 28, 2015. Applicants must complete their application by 2:00 p.m. ET, January 7, 2016. Applicants who are invited for a video interview will be notified by email by the beginning of February 2016. Video interviews will be scheduled for the first two weeks of February. Awards will be announced in March.

Janelia Undergraduate Scholars – Program Information

Janelia Graduate Research Fellowship

Students enrolled in a doctoral program in the United States or abroad are eligible to apply. Applications may be submitted at any time and completed applications will be reviewed as promptly as possible; however, candidates will generally be notified of the outcome approximately two-three months after each application review deadline (February 1, June 1, and October 1). We must receive all supporting materials, including letters of reference, before we can consider and review your application.

Janelia Graduate Research Fellowship - Program Information

HHMI Professors Competition

HHMI invites applications for the HHMI Professors Program competition from natural sciences faculty members who can convey the excitement and values of scientific research to undergraduate students. To be eligible, applicants must be affiliated with a Doctoral University, Highest Research Activity (R1),according to the 2015 Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, be a tenured faculty member of a baccalaureate degree-granting natural sciences department, have a full-time faculty appointment in current home department for at least three consecutive years prior to application, have an assigned role in the development or implementation of undergraduate curriculum in their home department as part of their faculty appointment, and be a principal investigator on one or more active, national peer-reviewed research award of at least three years duration. HHMI Undergraduate Science Education – Inclusive Excellence Grants

The HHMI Inclusive Excellence undergraduate science education grants competition is open to US colleges and universities that award the baccalaureate degree in the natural sciences and are fully accredited, not-for-profit, four-year institutions. It excludes the 40 universities awarded 2014 HHMI grants. The program announcement for the 2018 competition will be available in late spring 2016.
